enter via Umbi sharks bay diving village and its 200 Egyptian pounds each but you get a sunbed and parasol. Huge section of reef to explore amazing snorkelling. I recommend the indrive app to get a taxi here as its easier than negotiating with the regular taxis.
Besides the pyramids This place is a national treasure I did some snorkelling here in the Red Sea and it was unesco level with abundant sea life The weather is always above 30c Then the fried rice you find here is curiously famous with and Egyptian flair and service. We took a taxi across the Sinai desert to be dropped off at sham el shiek. Quite the adventure The building up of tourism takes away a little bit of the rugged beauty of the Red Sea but overall it is a clean and organized place A must see and visit This place is biblically cool
Nice safe entrance to the water, clean, no trash like in the other beaches. Safe surroundings
It was like a dream! The transparency of water and the quality of fish and marine life is amazing. The stuff at umbi hotel were very friendly. I even made a new friend, Loza the cat. She is very sweet, she came to me every night, not to eat but only to stay close. If you visit and you see her, send me a picture. She has a scar on her nose. If you visit, you absolutely need to do a massage! Ask for : Mondi and her wife, they are amazing! The best massage I ever had! Their tent is close to Basata cafe. And for scuba : definitely Butterfly diving!! Abdelrahman was our instructor! The absolute best! But the entire team was really nice. Some advice: for snorkeling the best spot is in front of Basata cafe. You are allowed to swim there and snorkel. There will be days when the sea will have more waves and you wont see much when snorkel. Then go deeper or dive. It will change everything. And when the water is like in the videos I post, enjoy it us much as you can!
