Description
Your day begins with pickup from your accommodation in Tirana, or from designated meeting points in Durres, Golem, Lezha, or Shkodra. You will travel approximately two hours by comfortable van, with a stop for coffee, snacks, and restroom break. The guide will share only brief details initially to maintain a peaceful atmosphere during the early part of the journey.
After the break, continue for another 1.5 hours as your guide provides insights about Albania and the region. Note that some road sections are under construction and may be bumpy.
Upon arrival at Komani Lake dam after about four hours, you will walk through a seven-minute tunnel to board a boat. Enjoy a one-hour boat trip across Komani Lake, observing mountain landscapes and clear waters.
At Shala River, you will have free time to swim, relax, have lunch, or enjoy a drink. You may also join a short guided hike to a viewpoint overlooking the river.
The return trip follows the same route with a stop for a break and restroom use before arriving back in Tirana.
