Description
Your adventure begins in Ushguli, one of the highest permanently inhabited villages in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After meeting your local horse guide, you'll set off on a scenic ride through alpine meadows, mountain rivers, and the dramatic landscapes of the Greater Caucasus. Along the way, you'll enjoy panoramic views of Mount Shkhara and the surrounding wilderness while experiencing the peaceful beauty of Svaneti from horseback.
The horseback ride reaches the final point accessible on horseback, where you can stop to admire the spectacular scenery. Guests who wish may also continue independently on foot toward the Shkhara Glacier viewpoint before returning to the horses. This short hiking section is optional.
After enjoying the views, you'll ride back to Ushguli along the same beautiful mountain trail.
