It is a very famous and good restaurant by Egyptian standards. We ate pigeon soup, beef steak and grilled mutton neck. The pigeon soup contained only one tiny piece of meat but it was very delicious. The beef steak was in fact grilled beef meat.
We enjoyed our dinner a lot with decent grilled food here, and the staff were all very friendly. Also, the prices were reasonable especially in such a touristy area. If you come to old market, don’t hesitate to pass by!
A slightly belated review but well deserved. We visited El Hossieny during our last trip to Sharm and it ended up being one of those places you keep talking about afterwards. The food was excellent, proper local flavours, generous portions, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. A big thank you to Mr Mohamed El Hossieny for the warm welcome and the way he personally looked after us during the evening. That kind of hospitality stays with you. We are back in Sharm again now and will definitely be coming back. Thank you Mohamed for a great evening and see you again very soon.
This restaurant is a hidden gem and easily the best grill house in the region. We tried another high-end spot recently that was twice as expensive, but it didn't even come close to the quality here. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the kefta and the perfectly grilled rice and vegetables. A huge plus: they provide several complimentary side dishes that are fresh and flavorful, all included in the price. The service is exceptional. Our waiter, Rashadelsayd, was incredibly patient and helpful, taking the time to explain the menu and help us choose—which is perfect for foreigners. It is rare to find such a magnificent atmosphere and top-tier food at such an affordable price point. This is the best value for money you will find, with no hidden taxes. Don’t hesitate, you can go there with total confidence!
