Description
Meet the guide at the local partner's office in Yerevan at 10:00 AM before heading northwest toward Tsaghkadzor, located 50 kilometers from the capital in the Kotayk region. Tsaghkadzor is known as a popular winter resort surrounded by mountains and forests.
Explore the city and visit the Kecharis Monastery, which dates back to the 11th century. The monastery complex includes four churches and the partially ruined mausoleum of Grigorius Pahlavuni, its original patron.
Continue to Lake Sevan, situated 1,900 meters above sea level. Enjoy a lakeside walk amid mountain scenery and admire the clear water. Visit the Sevanavank Monastery, built in 874 on a peninsula overlooking the lake, where you can see its reflection on the water.
After the visit, proceed to a lakeside restaurant for lunch at your own expense. The tour concludes with a return to Yerevan.
