Description
Leave the city behind and travel deep into the Red Sea desert by 4x4 Jeep along traditional Bedouin routes used for generations. Arrive at Al Rada Maaza Bedouin Village, where you are welcomed by members of the Maaza tribe. This is not a staged camp, but a living cultural setting where you step into everyday desert life.
Your experience is guided by a professional conservator guide, offering deeper insight into desert ecosystems, cultural heritage, and the importance of preserving both natural and intangible heritage.
Learn about traditional desert survival techniques and discover how Bedouins navigate using stars, sun patterns, and landscape markers. Experience guided sungazing and understand its role in traditional navigation and desert life.
Observe and participate in traditional coffee preparation and understand the role of camels in Bedouin economy and daily life. Hear oral storytelling passed down through generations.
Visit the camel farm to learn about camel care, breeding traditions, and Bedouin animal ethics, followed by a gentle camel ride in a calm and respectful setting.
Take part in hands-on cultural moments such as Bedouin bread preparation demonstration, herbal tea preparation using desert plants, traditional scarf wrapping explanation, and an introduction to Maaza handicrafts and daily tools.
Depending on your choice, the experience concludes with either a simple, authentic Bedouin breakfast or a luxury dinner at BADU Camp with a Bedouin party and stargazing. The meal is shared in a traditional seating arrangement while you listen to live storytelling from Maaza tribe members.
