El Masrien Restaurant
Sharm El Sheikh
Recensioner
During my visit to Sharm El-Sheikh in March 2018, I dined at El Masrien Restaurant in Naama Bay. It was a wonderful experience to enjoy authentic Egyptian food while exploring the beautiful city of Sharm El-Sheikh. The meal was flavorful, fresh, and representative of local cuisine. Every dish served was a treat, and it was nice to savor such genuine flavors. The atmosphere was welcoming and added to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience. It was a memorable culinary experience that I still think back on fondly.
I am confused as to why this place does not have a much higher score, as they deserve it. The folks that work here are extremely friendly, and the menu is the most extensive one we saw that caters to vegetarians as well as meat eaters. Every single dish we bought was spiced properly, tasted wonderfully, and did not cause us any stomach issues whatsoever. We ordered some more of the stuffed veggies to eat back at the Airbnb, which they prepared meticulously. Hummus was one of the best I had and the Om Ali was light and tasty just as I like it. Honestly the perfect spot to enjoy some Egyptian cuisine. Menu is from 2 April 2026.
Good place, very neat and tidy, and the food was delicious. For Indian vegetarians, we particularly liked the Bihari style chokha they prepare, known locally as Egyptian Baba Ghanoug (بابا غنوج), sometimes also called Salatet Batenjan. We enjoyed it a lot.
Since last two days we ordered food for delivery through bring it app from this restaurant. Today we decided to make a dine in. Ambience is excellent. Food is good and even better in dine in. There is lot of options for vegetarian people too. I tried their variety of salads, okra, peas curry (ordered) and basmati rice. Tomato soup is slightly extra sweet but good. My husband ordered grilled chicken and it came stuffed with rice. He liked it. The lemon & mint drink was bitter due to lot of lemon zest hence couldn’t drink it. But over all the experience was good and good very delicious.
We visited El Masrien after a long walk along the streets of old market. We took tajin, chicken shawarma, spaghetti, chicken soup, French fries for kids and a couple of salads We were so hungry, that I forgot to make photos of the meal. Anyway, the food was good and delicious, the time was not too long, and we were glad to end this evening like that. The only problem was that they brought another tajin, not the one we ordered. Sad, but not catastrophic. The other problem was the noise from outside: the musicians played squeaky pipes and drums, so it was not comfortable to talk, it is not the fault of the restaurant, however.
